Innovation

TYSWELD has developed an innovative method for cleaning wire rod using a high-pressure water jet. This aids the traditional brushing of wire from scale and heavy oxides – providing excellent cleanliness of the steel prior to pre-drawing, and during the process reducing scale by 99.9% and eliminating ambient dust.

The patented technology also includes a dry-drawing process for drawing wire to the pre-coppered diameter (instead of using emulsion), reusing high-pressure water, chemical touch-up and calibration after copper plating. The processes guarantee excellent adhesion and resistance to flaking of the copper coating, and this reduces the risk of clogging of the cartridge in the welding fixture with contaminants. This is especially important on robotic workstations.

TYSWELD has developed a method for coiling wire without winding it onto a drum during pre-drawing. The wire is laid freely in special baskets, which reduces self-tension in the solid wire and torsion, which in turn ensures even and straight wire feeding in the welding fixture, without the so-called arc wandering. Welding stability means high weld quality, higher production efficiency and comfort at the welding bench.
